Centennial Corridor
The Centennial Corridor will be a new road, several miles long, constructed in two phases in the City of Bakersfield. The total project cost was estimated at $330 million. EMI is a geotechnical design consultant on phases one and two, providing geotechnical and foundation recommendations for multiple bridges, grade separations, retaining walls, soundwalls, roadway embankments and pavement sections.
SR-178/Morning Drive Interchange
A new interchange is being constructed at SR-178 and Morning Drive, and the freeway is being widened to four lanes for approximately 1.5 miles from just west of Morning Drive to the future Vineland Road. EMI served as the geotechnical consultant for final design, providing reports and foundation recommendations for one bridge, and several retaining walls, embankments, and pavement sections.
Rosedale Highway Widening
Rosedale Highway in the City of Bakersfield is being widened to a four/six lane facility from SR-43 to SR-99. The project also includes a grade separation at the railroad crossing near Landco Drive. EMI provided geotechnical services for the PA/ED phase including preparation of several structure preliminary foundation reports.
